Founded in 1979 under the name ‘Juin Musical’ by an enthusiast, the harpsichord maker Jacques Brault, this chamber music festival has since welcomed the finest soloists and ensembles to Mortagne-au-Perche and other towns in the region, notably Sainte-Céronne, Tourouvre-au-Perche, La Mesnière, La Perrière and Pervenchères.

Now known as “Les Musicales de Mortagne et du Perche”, the festival takes place over three weekends in late June and early July. Each year, the programme focuses on a different but non-exclusive theme. In 2026, the festival will celebrate its 40th edition with the theme “Romanticism”.
